Innovative benefits solutions since 1983
Fringe Benefit Group was founded in 1983 to help prevailing wage contractors navigate the complexities of the Davis-Bacon Act and the Service Contract Act. What started as a single solution has grown into a full suite of benefit programs serving hourly and part-time workers across industries. More than four decades in, we remain focused on what we’ve always done best: delivering practical, compliant solutions that simplify benefits for employers, brokers, advisors, and the workforces they support.
The Beginning
Founded to deliver compliant benefits for prevailing wage workers under the Davis-Bacon Act and Service Contract Act. Our first solution would become The Contractors Plan.

Growing Retirement Capabilities

Broadening the Platform
Acquired The American Worker and EPSI, broadening the reach, product depth, and administrative capabilities of our hourly and part-time benefits platform.
Investing in Our Product Portfolio
Formed Fringe MGU, a managing general underwriter with carrier underwriting authority, to improve self-funded medical pricing and respond faster to product innovation.
Strengthening Health Benefits
Acquired Century Healthcare, expanding our supplemental, limited-benefit, and self-funded medical offerings and reinforcing our commitment to comprehensive health solutions.
Four Decades of Simplifying Benefits
Celebrated 40 years of helping employers simplify benefits administration for hourly and part-time workforces — and the brokers and advisors who serve them.

Deepened our collaboration with Transamerica to expand retirement plan solutions — bringing additional plan options, advice services, multilingual planning tools, and a broader investment lineup to hardworking Americans.
